Review 6/17/2011

In the middle of May of 2011, I was looking for a moving company to move my girlfriend's and my stuff from WI to Colorado. After speaking with an incredibly smooth talker named Robert, I told him we'd sign up for a move a month away. He looked and said they had a truck in the area and all was good. I also want to mention that he told me that he wouldn't sell this to me unless I understood that I was getting superb quality and service. So two days before the movers were supposed to be there, a woman named Lisa from Quality Assurance called and said everything was on track. Fast forward 2 days and I called the company asking what time they'd be at my apartment. Customer service kept me waiting for 15 minutes and told me no truck was available. I called to speak with the supervisor, Sam, who said I was on a priority list and would call me at noon that day. By 1:00 with no callback, I called and he was at lunch they said. So I called his boss and left a message. No call back all day. So I called again and got transferred from customer service to the "main floor supervisor", Sara. I told her I wanted my money back for failure to pick up my stuff on the "contract". She said sorry and would have someone from customer service call me in the next hour to go over sending my money back. Again, no call back. So I called the next day and left another message. They finally called back and said we got our money back so all we have to do is check the bank now. 2 minutes later I called PODS and they picked up my stuff the next day. United States Van Lines has the WORST customer service I've every dealt with and will never go back again. They are located in Florida which I suppose is the reason people from there have decent experiences. I almost was going to ask the supervisor if they were a real company and if they were just stealing my money.
