I've been playing NetDragon/TQ's game 'Conquer Online' for about 2 years now off and on. At the beginning, I would have recommended this game to everyone! The community was great and the game itself had a great vibe.
However, with the introduction of certain patches such as "Conquer Points" (in-game currency that is only available by actually paying real money) the game started its massive decline.
Most servers are now full of "Bulkers". (People who buy 'Bulk packs' of 'Dragon Balls') Each bulk costs hundreds of dollars and in reality only allows you to pimp your character a little bit.
This game has become impossible for people like me who don't buy DBs (I'll explain why later) to progress through the game at even a fraction of the rate of the overwhelming amount of Bulkers. Every patch the company puts out now is in favor of Bulkers. Ways for the rich and powerful to become even richer and more powerful.
Also, there are WAY TOO MANY foreign people playing this game. Egyptians, Turks, Brazilians, most of which cannot even speak english, or speak very hard to understand butchered english. They spam you in whisper, they spam you in talk chat, they spam the market with foreign cuss words that nobody understands. I'm not a racist or a bigot by any means, but this version of the game hosted in the USA where the primary language is, in fact, english. The game is programmed in English. The game has no other language's version available for download. I don't know about you, but I certainly would not play a game online where I can't understand ANYTHING that's written on my game screen, or anything that anyone is saying.
Now, the reason I don't buy DBs is because a couple months ago I tried to order 5 dbs through a Money Order form. A month went by with no response from the company. So I started e-mailing them. A month went by and I finally got a response that I must have entered my e-mail address wrong when filling out the Money Order form. I most certainly did not. I looked over that Money Order about 20 times, top to bottom to make sure everything was entirely perfect and accurate. When I explained this to them, they simply said I had not bought 25 dbs and basically told me I was a liar and that there was nothing they could do. For those of you who don't know, you pay the amount you wish to send when you pick up the Money Order. NetDragon/TQ kept my money and refused to answer any more of my e-mails. That's why I don't buy DBs from this money hungry corporation.
Their customer service is a total joke, and never helps anybody. There are no in-game GMs to enforce rules. Botters and Scammers run rampant.
I no longer recommend this game to anyone except rich people who can keep up with the rest of the Bulkers, and people who speak fluent Arabic/Brazilian.
