Worst experience of my life.

We were at the Hospital on March 1, 2017. My Brother got a bacterial infection in his stomach due to a twisted bowel obstruction. Unfortunately my little Brother passed away that day because he was unable to fight the infection. I'm writing because of the horrible experience we had with a few of the Nurses and also Security guards. My family and I would like to speak out because we have contacted the hospital and no one has gotten back to us. While my Father and I were waiting in the "quiet room" we heard the ICU call a "code blue." Immediately my Father and I rushed to the ICU to see what was going on. Once getting in, I saw a group of nurses around my Brother trying to resuscitate him. I immediately almost fainted and had to leave. While my Poor Father stood by and watched his 17 year old son slip away. I saw a big man (nurse) on top of him, and a few other male nurses around him as well. When I went into another room, I heard my Father screaming at the Nurses. I rushed to see what was going on, and asked my Father why he was yelling. He said he saw the male nurses LAUGHING and giving each other FIST PUMPS while trying to revive my brother. I almost lost it. How dare they do something like this to my family already in so much pain. I understand my Brother Joey, is another number to them, at least close the damn curtain in respect for my family! Then to make things worse they call the security guards to remove us from being Angry and something ANYONE would be angry about. The security guards were some odd men who seemed not all there. Saying things to us like "he's trying to save your son, relax" ..."do you guys want me to hug you". " I know what you're going through my Mom passed away." (Btw not the same thing, as a 17 year old child) Just saying really off the wall odd things you don't say to people going through such a thing. I don't expect the hospital to do anything, as you can see they have horrible ratings for a reason. But I wish I could get his horrible image and experience out of my head. What I'm most upset about, is my poor little brother passed away with Nurses around him being so unprofessional and having NO empathy towards others. I'm not saying all the Nurses were like this. There were a couple of female nurses who were very nice and professional And you could see they truly cared. But unfortunately this horrible experience with the young male nurses will forever be in my head. I didn't get to catch the names of the male nurses, for obvious reasons of being distraught. However, I can explain how they looked. Both Hispanic light skin, one of them was a shorter guy with slicked black hair, and the other one had black hair (don't remember the style) he was a bigger guy. I want to share my story in hopes another family will NEVER have to experience what me and my family and brother had to. In my opinion just drive to Lima Linda, it will be far better. Better staff and doctors, better everything. I just can't wrap my head around how people can be so cruel! And on top of that, these are the people who are supposed to be taking care of us and our sick family members. I will never again step foot into that hospital. If you work at the hospital and read this and do nothing, shame on you. This is now in God's hands.
