Before having my eyes lasered the service I received from Excel Laser Vision was brilliant. The procedures were explained clearly and my eyes were checked thoroughly. I was given an appointment to have LASEK surgery. I had been told my eyes were only suitable
for this procedure. When I turned up to have the surgery they checked my eyes but refused to carry out the surgery that day because my eyes were still too dry. I had worn contact lenses every day for at least ten years, for about 15hrs per day and could feel
that my eyes were dry, despite wearing premium lenses. I am so pleased they refused to carry out the surgery because when I went back for a later appointment to see if they could proceed with surgery, my eyes had become less dry, as I had not worn the lenses
since the last appointment, and I was now able to have LASIK surgery, which has a shorter recovery time. The worst part was waiting in the surgery room with eye drops in waiting to be operated on. I was petrified, but had no reason to be. The procedure was
pain free and over fairly quickly. I could see lights & smell burning briefly. The anticipation of surgery was far worse than the surgery itself. I had been worried that my fantastic short sight would be affected, but it hasn't and I now have better than 20:20
vision. I would recommend Excel Laser Vision to everyone and have recently encouraged a friend to make an appointment.
