Towards the end of 2008, we were approached by Charlene Castellon and her acolyte Christi McAdam to advertise in a "book" they were going to publish and distribute. To make a very long story short, they took $1,900.00 of ours and did not give us anything in return. The "book" was not published that we know of (date of launch was always pushed back) and in spite of numerous emails we received promising a refund, in spite of numerous phone calls we were never reimbursed.
We took them to small claim court; judgment was in our favor; we requested an order to produce statement of assets; they did not appear and I was told that I had exhausted my last recourse.
We put in a complaint at the BBB and the last contact the BBB had with them, on May 13, 2009, they again admitted that they owed us this money and that they were going to repay us immediately. Of course they did not. The BBB told me over the phone that they had the worst rating the BBB gives and that they were many of us in the same sad situation.
Sorry, there is NO positive aspect to this situation.
These 2 women are consumate con artists.
