Review 9/29/2010
I rented a full suspension bike from Chains Required Bike Shop on 09022010 for $65 per day. Initially everything went smooth I got to check out the bike and having minimal knowledge on the equipment I determined that everything worked fine. I went to ride trails that were few miles out of town. The first trail was rated as a 2 hour trail took me 4 hours due to my girlfriend's inexperience. But that was nowhere near as frustrating as the equipment on the bike started to fail one by one. First, the gears front and back about 70% of them were skipping when I push on the pedal. Trails that alternate up hill and downhill require constant gear shifting otherwise you're walking the bike. I finished the trail very frustrated and once we returned back into town the bike shop was already closed. Anyway the next day I went to return the bike to the shop I told two different people about my problems with the bike and both people just shrugged their shoulders and gave me a look like, "What do you want me to do?" or "You're lying." No sympathy was shown they charged the credit card and didn't even say thank you. I will never rent anything from a shop with customer service like Chains Require Bike Shop has shown. I can rent a bike from Las Vegas for less, get a better bike for the money and deal with people that appreciate my business.
