American Law Firm spent a very long time convincing my husband and I that we were fully guaranteed to a full refund if they could not reach an agreement with our lender, Bank of America, to modify our home loan.
They led us on for over a year. Then, we were told that we can't get a loan modification because we had a VA loan. They knew this from the beginning. We tried to "break" off our relationship through the middle of negotiations and they persuaded us to continue.
We received a letter from them that we will not be receiving our refund of $2500-. We do have a certificate that was sent with a guarantee of a refund if we did not get a loan modification. I see the credit rating of American Law Firm has dropped from A- to C- in the short time that we had dealt with them.
