As far as products go, Activision provides a wide range of games that I personally find to be very good. As far as their customer service goes, they are terrible. First off, all customer service interactions are done through their website and email. This allows limited interaction with their customer service representatives and forces conversations which should take only minutes were they handled over the phone, to take days. At best I could get only a single response per day. When I made a rebuttal or a follow on question I then had to wait a day for a response.
My problem is with Activision's Call of Duty: World at War product. When playing this game online, for no reason whatsoever except for faulty programming, my online level was reset to 1 from where it had been at 45, and I did not have access to the starting equipment in the custom classes for the game. When I contacted customer service, they said there was nothing they could do to remedy the problem. When I asked for my money back, they said that they couldn't refund my money and that I would have to take it back to the retail outlet where I purchased the game. As this glitch didn't occur until well after the time frame allowable for returns at that particular store, I can't return it there. I asked to be put in touch with a supervisor and have since that point received no contact from their customer service department. I have contacted them again since asking for the supervisor, and have still not received any responses.
Despite producing enjoyable games, Activision's lack of customer service has turned me off to the company and their products. While in the past I would have recommended their games, now I would not, as it seems that if a problem arises, they will not help you fix it.
